INTERIOR SPECIFICATIONS

"Tabutne" is all welded steel hull with 1⁄4” plate.  The deck house top and sides are 3/16” plate.  The frames are 3”x 2”x 1⁄4” on 24” centers.  There are five water tight bulkheads.  The raised pilot house has a center helm and six fixed safety glass windshields, two fixed side windows and side doors to the wing decks.  Behind the helm is the master stateroom (captains quarters) which has a queen bed, and private head with a tub and shower.  The interior arrangement is a forepeak tank for ballast and a 18” round escape hatch, skylight.  Next is a crew head with tub and shower to port and two cabins with two beds each to starboard.  The port side passageway has a laundry center with a RCA washer and an Amana dryer and deep freeze and a ladder with provides access to the main deck.  The main deck has a salon lounge with tree sofas, entertainment center and a wet bar with icemaker.  Next to starboard is a cabin with two single beds, followed by a cabin with a double bed.  To port is a cabin with a double bed.  Next to starboard is a guest head with a tub and shower, followed by the galley.  To port is the dining area with two tables and seating for twelve.
The galley has the following appliances. GE refrigerator model TBX25PCXBLWW, a Kenmore stove 220 volt electric with 4 burners and oven, with overhead exhaust fan. There is a Kenmore dishwasher, a Sharp microwave oven (model II with carousel.) a Kenmore trash compactor and an additional ice maker.  On the top deck there is a 3’ stainless steel charcoal grill and a Charbroil gas grill with three steel 20 pound propane tanks.





EXTERIOR SPECIFICATIONS

The Moss Point has three decks.  The forward lower deck has staterooms and the aft lower deck is the engine room.  The main deck is the salon additional staterooms, the galley and dining area.  There are side doors from the salon to the wing deck and a door from the dining area to the cockpit.  There is a water tight door from the cockpit that provides entry into the engine room.  The cockpit has an additional helm station which makes docking the boat a breeze.  From the covered cockpit there is access to the dive platform.  Between the dive platform and the cockpit there are dive tank fill valves and tank storage.  The upper deck is comprised of the pilot house and the master stateroom.  Aft of the master stateroom is an open area with the gas grills and picnic tables.  This also doubles for classroom instruction.  There is also an electric winch which has a dedicated 8D battery and storage for a dingy.  The ground tackle for the Moss Point is a 60 pound Danforth bow roller with 6’ 1⁄2” chain and 240 1.25 nylon 3 strand rode.  A Fortress FX ff aluminum anchor with 6’ of 1⁄2” chain and 240 of 1.25 nylon three strand rode.  There is also a Danforth 40 pound anchor and a Danforth 70 pound anchor. There is an Ideal electric windlass with two capstans. 



ELECTRONICS SPECIFICATIONS

This vessel has an excellent array of electronics and navigational aides.  There three VHF radios two Standard Horizon and one Apelco.  There is a SSB Sea, model 222 with an automatic antenna tuner.  There is a Garmin 128 GPS and a computer plotter, IBM model E series 230 with a NEC monitor.  It has Navigation Software:  Map Tech Professional and a Panasonic printer.  There is a Standard Horizon dept finder model DS 30 and a Furuno fish finder model FCV-201.  The Moss Point is equipped with a Decca model Pilot 150 autopilot.  There is a Wind and Temp indicator:  Davis, model Weather Wizard.  It has a Standard Horizon loud hailer and a Technics & Marantz, AM/FM cassette with a Zenith amp.  There is a Sony 19’ TV and a Sanyo VCR.  There are two VHF, GPS, TV and SSB antennas.  The main helm steering station has a 24” teak wheel with EMI rudder indicator and the aft deck helm station has a 24” stainless steel wheel.  The steering is a Charlynn hydraulic system with a 2 HP electric hydraulic pumps.

MECHANICAL SPECIFICATIONS

The Moss Point is powered by twin Volvo Penta TAMD41PA 200 HP diesels engines with approximately 800 hours.  These engines are extremely fuel efficient and reliable. The generators (2) 40 KW were new in 2005  and currently have approximately 2000 hours.  The electrical system is 12 volt DC with 5 batteries, group size 8D which were replaced this year.  The AC system is 240 volts with 50 amp shore power connection and one 110’ cord.  Ship’s service air compressor is a Quincy model 310.  The air conditioner is a 196 Rheem, 5 ton with electric heat coils.  The head is a USCG Marine Sanitation Device.  There are three manual house hold toilets with direct overboard discharge and selector valves to a 300 gallon steel holding tank equipped with a 1⁄2 HP trash evacuation pump.  The water system on the Moss Point has steel integral tanks with a total capacity of 4000 gallons.  The system is pressure on demand with copper plum line and two 30 gallon tanks by Relianace and Richmond electric water heaters.  There is a fresh water and sea water wash down on the aft deck with an outside shower on the aft deck.  There is a SK Watermaker which is capable of producing 500 gallons per day.  The dive air system is a McWhorter Engineering Company Model  ESAC.  The air compressor is a Worthington 18.5 CF t 3000 psi.  It has  4000 CF air flask for dive air.

MISCELLANEOUS EQUIPMENT

There are 43 adult PFD’s 7 child Type 1 and  three 24” life rings.  There is an EPIRB ACR class A, fog bell, dual air trumpet horn and a Perko 9” remote spot light.  There are 3 Jim Buoy 15 person life rafts.  The dive platform is full length stainless steel pipe and FRP grate with 2 aluminum dive ladders.
