The Catalina 310 was designed for cruising couples. It incorporates the most desired big boat features. The large cockpit will comfortably host a group on seats long and deep enough to sleep on. The cockpit lockers will hold an inflatable and all your cruising gear. The side decks are wide and secure for safe crew movement forward and aft. Sail controls and anchoring systems are well thought out for ease of handling. The 310 represents an innovative approach to cruising boat design in an easily handled, stable, thirty-one foot hull.

INTERIOR SPECIFICATIONS

Stepping down into the cabin, the first thing you notice in the 310 Catalina is how much room there is for a 31 footer. There is a large head to port and a large well- thought- out galley to starboard. There is a twin settee to starboard and an L shape settee with table to port. Both forward and aft sleeping quarters are comfortable enough for two persons each. The aft quarters features a large queen bed. The forward V berth has a sliding teak panel and teak door for closing off the front sleeping quarters completely for privacy; making this a comfortable set up. There is also a fan for ventilation in the forward berth. Storage for clothes and amenities is ample.
The galley has a gimbaled propane two burner stove with oven, a refrigerator freezer, a stainless steel sink with both hot and cold pressurized water and a microwave oven. The electrical panel/Nav station is just aft of the galley to starboard. The head has a stainless steel sink, a toilet and shower head and it is unencumbered and clean.

EXTERIOR SPECIFICATIONS

Starting forward there is Bow roller as well as an anchor locker with road and space for an anchor. The windlass is neatly stowed in the anchor locker. Despedida is Sloop rigged with double-spreader spar. Most 310’s come equipped with stainless steel stanchions, double lifelines and boarding gates. Despedida is no exception. There is a large hatch forward and a smaller hatch just aft of the mast. The forward hatch is large enough to lower sail bags and sails below. Controls lead comfortably to the cockpit and are well thought out for ease of handling. The cockpit is roomy with a large locker to port and Lazarettes on both port and starboard sides. There is a handsome pedestal in the cockpit for the steering system ,engine and navigational instruments. The pedestal also has a folding cockpit table and cup holders. Sailing seats are installed on both port and starboard sides and encompasses drink holders and stereo speakers.  Located aft of the transom are two lockers for propane tanks and also a folding swim ladder. Both can be easily accessed by a removable gate in the transom. Also in the transom area is a hot and cold water shower for rinsing off after a swim.
"Despedida" comes with a custom Sunbrella bimini and dodger that are in very good shape.

 

ELECTRONICS SPECIFICATIONS

"Despedida" comes with the following instruments installed. A Raymarine Auto Helm Series ST 60 wind speed and direction, depth gauge, knot meter and a ST 4000+ Raymarine Auto Pilot. A Standard Horizon GPS Chart 160 and a Richie compass. A Standard Horizon VHF radio is installed at the chart table with a second remote hook-up at the helm. An AM/FM CD player round off the package.
At the helm you will also find your engine instruments consisting of; water temperature, voltage, fuel & engine RPM.

MECHANICAL SPECIFICATIONS

The engine is a 26hp Universal fresh water cooled diesel with 240 hours. It is installed under the steps leading down to the cabin and is easily accessible. The shaft log is drip-less and Despedida comes with both a 3 bladed prop and a 2 bladed folding prop.
There are both 12V DC and 120V AC electrical systems. 12V power is provided by two group 4D batteries.  The batteries are easily accessible under the settee to port.
120V AC power is provided by a 30amp shore power system. "Despedida" has four wenches; two Lumar 44 self tailing wenches and two Lumar 30 self tailing wenches. Despedida comes with a Schafer furling system; a 150% laminated genoa, and 135% Dacron genoa. The main sail is fully battened and has a Dutchman furling system and a split adjustable back stay. Last but not least there are both an electrical bilge pump and manual one as well.
